Through The Painting... A journey.

In early 2007 through the now disappeared Nick Black message board i met an amazingly talented person... (actually i met a few amazing talented people) but this particular person was Stephanie Graber an author, graphic artist and complete sci-fi NERD!!!!!

so we soon became good friends and i started proof reading her books starting with Blood Tie then Assassin's Blood then New Blood and some unfinished works... but amoung them was a little title then called 'Ausverden' I loved the book from the first time she sent me what she had written and was sad that it got left behind in late 2008, early in to its creation, around the time Steph went to LA for the Twilight premiere.

then last year Steph started writing more of 'Ausverden' (i may have been a pain in the arse about it... occasionally...lol) and near the end Steph asked for people to edit it, i myself and a few others put up our hand up (even though im grammarly challenged I'm good at picking up mistakes that spellcheck doesn't).

the 'Ausverden' became 'Through The Painting'

Which was finally released Last week on LuLu.com

Blurb: Zoe and Dean have been best friends since they could talk. Dean grew up as a normal teenage boy would with girl problems, pimples, and parental rebelliousness. Zoe, however, did not. She grew up with the developing powers of reading thoughts, moving things without touching them, shape-shifting, and controlling fire, though she’s working on the “controlling” part. Although her powers have seemed to prove nothing more than a maturing problem her entire life, Zoe soon discovers that all gifts have a purpose and hers will take the pair of them to a world they could only imagine to face foes they never thought could exist. To accomplish her goal, Zoe must learn to control her abilities in order to fight to rescue a falling world and accept who she was born to become. Dean’s still working on the pimples…

Ghost Town

Ghost Town (The Morganville Vampires, #9)Ghost Town by Rachel Caine

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rachel Caine just keeps out doing herself with each new book in this series. oh and I love the fact that Shane has a lot more face time in this book too.

With Ada out of commission, Claire and Myrnin have to find a way to bring the towns defence back up, and Claire is forced to work fast... but when things are rushed, things tend to go wrong. Soon Morganville starts losing memory of the last few years of their lives and the vampires start biting...

Crescendo Review

Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2)Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing book, is my over all verdict.

Nothing like those 3 little words to send a beautiful blossoming relationship to hell. Nora sounds very hormonal through most of the book (anyone would think she had really bad PMS) I suspect Patch suffered from mass amounts of emotional whip lash. but it seems to fit. it flows A lot better than the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. I am really looking forward to the next book in the Hush, Hush series.

5/5

New Years Resolution

Hey who ever is reading this.... leave a comment with your thoughts and/or goals/resolutions.

So it is New Years Eve and iv made a resolution... not to make any resolutions, i rarely go through with them. there are things i have to change and goals i want to meet but i think i have to achieve them on my own time. I know this time of year is to celebrate the future and a time to make changes for the better, but then the promises just get lost when we go back to reality, work and our normal lives.

Goals:
  • Pay Credit Card off (dangerous piece of plastic)
  • stop impulse shopping (online shopping is my worst enemy)
  • look for a new job
  • try to get out of the house more
  • try and keep a sleep pattern (insomnia sucks!)
  • get my hands on "Nice Girls Don't Live Forever" by Molly Harper
  • also get my hands on "Shades Of Midnight" by Lara Adrian

Lastly everyone have a safe and Happy New Year.
